2025/2026 MATRICULATION AND ORIENTATION SCHEDULE – THE FEDERAL POLYTECHNIC, BAUCHI

The Management of The Federal Polytechnic, Bauchi, through the Students' Affairs Office, is pleased to announce the official arrangements for the 2025/2026 Academic Session matriculation ceremony and the mandatory orientation programme for all newly admitted students.

I. MATRICULATION CEREMONY DETAILS

The matriculation ceremony, a formal rite of passage signifies the official integration of fresh students into the polytechnic's academic and administrative fold. The event is scheduled as follows:

EVENT LOGISTICS

• Date: Saturday, 18th April, 2026
• Time: 9:30 AM Prompt
• Venue: Stadium Complex
• Attendance: All Deans and Heads of Department have been officially mandated to be present to welcome the new intake into their respective faculties and departments.

II. FRESH STUDENTS' ORIENTATION PROGRAMME

Prior to the matriculation, the institution has organized a dedicated orientation period to acquaint new students with the college’s regulations, facilities, and academic expectations.

SCHEDULE AND ATTENDANCE

• Orientation Period: Wednesday, 15th April – Friday, 17th April, 2026.
• Objective: To provide vital information regarding campus life, security, and academic excellence.

SUSPENSION OF LECTURES

To facilitate full participation in the orientation exercises, Management has issued the following directive regarding academic activities:

• Lecture Status: There will be no lectures for fresh students during this three-day orientation window.
• Scope: This suspension applies strictly to all newly admitted (fresh) students to allow them to focus entirely on the orientation lectures.

III. ADMINISTRATIVE ADVISORY FOR NEW STUDENTS

• Mandatory Participation: The orientation programme is a prerequisite for a successful stay on campus. All fresh students are expected to attend every session.
• Academic Gowns: Students should consult their respective departments for instructions regarding the collection and return of matriculation gowns.
• Punctuality: For the main ceremony on Saturday, all matriculating students are expected to be seated at the Stadium Complex well before the 9:30 AM commencement time to ensure an orderly academic procession.
