FEDERAL UNIVERSITY OF EDUCATION, ZARIA WARNS STUDENTS AGAINST LATE RESUMPTION, ENFORCES 70% LECTURE ATTENDANCE POLICY

The management of the Federal University of Education (FUED), Zaria has expressed concern over the poor resumption of students for the 2024/2025 second semester, noting that many students are yet to return to campus despite the semester commencing approximately three weeks ago.

The University has therefore directed all students who are yet to resume academic activities to return to campus immediately and participate fully in lectures and other scheduled academic engagements.

Students Directed to Resume Immediately

According to the management, the directive was issued on behalf of the University to ensure that students do not miss important academic activities and remain on track throughout the semester.

All affected students are advised to report to campus without further delay and actively participate in all lectures, practical sessions, and other academic activities.

70% Lecture Attendance Is Mandatory

The University reiterated that attendance at lectures is compulsory for all students.

Management emphasized that every student must attain a minimum of 70% lecture attendance in each course as a mandatory requirement to qualify for the semester examinations.

Students who fail to meet the required attendance threshold may be disqualified from sitting for the examinations in the affected courses.

University Urges Compliance

The management urged all students to comply strictly with the University's attendance policy and prioritize their academic responsibilities throughout the semester.

Students were also encouraged to maintain regular attendance, participate actively in lectures, and avoid actions that could jeopardize their academic progress.

The Federal University of Education, Zaria appreciated the cooperation of its students and wished the entire university community a successful and productive second semester.
