FEDERAL UNIVERSITY, WUKARI (FUWUKARI) ANNOUNCES TOTAL BAN ON STUDENTS' SIGNING-OUT ACTIVITIES

The Management of the Federal University Wukari (FUWUKARI), through the Academic Affairs Division, has officially announced a total and comprehensive ban on all student "sign-out" celebrations and activities on campus and within its surrounding environments with immediate effect.

This directive follows a decision reached by the University Senate during its 76th regular meeting. The management cites prevailing security and safety circumstances associated with these end-of-examination celebrations as the primary driver for the restriction.
Prohibited Activities

Students are strictly warned to abstain from the following practices, which are now heavily banned:

Attire & Public Displays: Signing on T-shirts, scrolling, and dancing within or outside classroom environments.

Disruptive Gatherings: Partying around the University gates or organizing rowdy movements within and outside the campus.

Traffic & Highway Disturbance: Gatherings or activities along the Katsina-Ala – Jalingo highways that generate traffic congestion.

Convoys & Financial Display: Organizing or sponsoring vehicular convoys, as well as the public spraying of money in the name of passing-out celebrations.

Strict Enforcement and Compliance

The University Management has explicitly directed all campus security personnel to strictly enforce these new regulations. Security officers have been mandated to identify and report any violating student or group immediately for disciplinary action.

While the Senate is committed to the welfare and safety of all students, University rules and regulations shall be adhered to, to avoid unpleasant consequences.
