The Management of Kaduna State University (KASU), under the leadership of Vice-Chancellor Professor Abdullahi Ibrahim Musa, PhD, has officially scheduled the matriculation ceremony for all newly admitted undergraduate and postgraduate students for the 2025/2026 academic session.

This year's theme, “Marching to Excellence: Embracing Emerging Technologies, Upskilling/Reskilling,” reflects the university's strategic shift toward digital literacy and the integration of modern technological tools into the academic curriculum. The ceremony marks the formal induction of new students into the university, where they will take the matriculation oath and be officially recognized as members of the KASU academic community.

To accommodate students across both campuses, the university has organized the events as follows:

  • Main Campus (Kaduna)

    Time: 10:00 a.m. Prompt
    Venue: 1000-Seat Auditorium, Main Campus
  • Kafanchan Campus

Academic Gown Collection and Logistics

Participation in the matriculation ceremony is mandatory for all fresh students, and wearing the official academic regalia is a prerequisite for the oath-taking.

  • Undergraduate Students
Undergraduate students are directed to visit their respective College or Faculty Offices for the collection of academic gowns. It is advisable to go with your evidence of school fees payment, as most departments require this for the issuance of the gown.
  • Postgraduate Students
Postgraduate matriculants are to collect their gowns from Room 7, College of Postgraduate Studies, located at the Main Campus in Kaduna.

Important Reminders for Matriculants

  • Fee Payment: Ensure that your school fees are fully paid and your course registration is completed on the portal, as matriculation is usually tied to your status as a "duly registered" student.
  • Punctuality: Students are expected to be seated at least 30 minutes before the commencement of the ceremony to allow for an orderly academic procession.
  • Matriculation Oath: The signing of the matriculation register and the oath form is the legal basis of your studentship. Ensure you sign these documents immediately after the ceremony.
  • Returning Gowns: Academic gowns are typically hired. Ensure you verify the return deadline with your faculty officer to avoid late return penalties.

The Registrar, Samira Balarabe, Esq., on behalf of the University Management, wishes all new students a blissful ceremony and a productive academic journey at Kaduna State University.
