Official Notice: UNICROSS Mandatory Matriculation Fee and Registration Guidelines
Share

The Management of the University of Cross River State (UNICROSS), via Circular No. 505 issued on January 27, 2026, has released critical instructions for all newly admitted Year One students. The Registrar, Dr. (Mrs.) Catherine Ndifon Osai, emphasized that the payment of the matriculation fee is not optional and serves as a prerequisite for both the official ceremony and the completion of academic registration.

Payment Specifications and Portal
The matriculation fee is fixed at Ten Thousand Naira (N10,000.00). To ensure transparency and security, the University has directed that all payments must be processed exclusively through the official Sundry Charges Payment Portal. Students are advised to avoid third-party platforms and use only the verified link: https://sundry.unicross.edu.ng.

Gown Collection and Verification Procedure
The process for securing academic regalia is strictly tied to the digital payment system. After completing the online transaction, students must print their official payment receipt directly from the portal. This document must then be presented at the student's respective Faculty Office. The Faculty Officer will verify the receipt before issuing the matriculation gown.

Administrative Compliance and Restrictions
The University has implemented a strict "no pay, no registration" policy for the 2025/2026 academic session. Any student who fails to provide evidence of payment for the matriculation fee will be barred from registering for courses or participating in any other official registration activities. This measure is intended to ensure that the matriculation register is finalized accurately and in a timely manner.

Action Required for New Students
All Year One students are urged to finalize this payment immediately. Prompt action will prevent last-minute rushes at the Faculty Offices and ensure that students are fully cleared for the upcoming ceremony. Completing this step is essential for securing your formal status as a bonafide student of the University of Cross River State.
