The Office of the Registrar at Northwest University, Kano, through the Directorate of Examination, Admissions, and Records (DEAR), has officially scheduled the physical verification and scrutiny of original credentials for newly admitted students. This exercise is a mandatory step in the 2025/2026 registration process and is designed to authenticate the academic records of all incoming freshmen.

The exercise will be conducted at the City Campus and is strictly faculty-based. Students are expected to appear only on the dates designated for their specific faculty to ensure an orderly and efficient verification process.
Verification Timetable by Faculty
The schedule begins on Monday, February 2, 2026, for the Faculties of Education and Arts. It continues on Tuesday, February 3, 2026, for the Faculty of Science. Following a one-day break for administrative processing, the Faculty of Computing is scheduled for Thursday, February 5, 2026. The Faculty of Social and Management Sciences will undergo verification on Friday, February 6, 2026. The exercise concludes on Monday, February 9, 2026, for the Faculties of Basic Medical Science, Clinical Science, and Allied Sciences.
Mandatory Documents for Scrutiny
To successfully complete the verification, every student must present the original copies of the following documents. Photocopies will not be accepted as a substitute for original credentials during this phase. Requirements include the official JAMB Result Slip for UTME candidates or the Direct Entry Registration Slip for DE candidates. Students must also present their Senior School Certificate Examination (SSCE) O’level results and the Northwest University Post-UTME/DE Acknowledgement Slip. For Direct Entry students specifically, an official academic transcript is a mandatory requirement to verify previous academic standing.
