Joseph Ayo Babalola University, Ikeji-Arakeji, a premier faith-based private institution and the first entrepreneurial university in Nigeria, invites applications from suitably qualified individuals for the position of Registrar. The University seeks a visionary leader with extensive administrative experience to head its Registry.

THE POSITION AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The Registrar is the Chief Administrative Officer of the University and is responsible to the Vice Chancellor for day-to-day administration. Key duties include:

  • Serving as Secretary to the Board of Trustees, Governing Council, Senate, Congregation, and Convocation.
  • Managing university records and ensuring high-level administrative efficiency.
  • Providing strategic advice to the Vice Chancellor on institutional planning and execution.

REQUIREMENTS AND PERSON SPECIFICATION

Candidates must meet the following academic and professional criteria:

  • Academic: A good University degree (minimum Second Class Lower) and a Master’s degree in a relevant discipline.
  • Experience: Minimum of fifteen (15) years post-graduation experience in University administration. Applicants must currently hold a rank not below Deputy Registrar with at least five years in that position.
  • Professional: Registered membership of ANUPA is mandatory, alongside others such as CIPM or NIM. Candidates must be digitally compliant and proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Personal: Must be a Christian (preferably of Christ Apostolic Church), under 60 years of age, and in sound physical and mental health.

TERMS OF SERVICE AND BENEFITS

The appointment is for a single term of five (5) years. The position attracts a competitive salary and the following fringe benefits:

  • Vision Statement: A maximum of 1,000 words outlining your vision for the Registry over the next five years.
  • Referees: Contact three referees to send signed recommendation letters directly to the university.
