*The Management of Al-Istiqama University, Sumaila, Kano State, is pleased to announce that the National Universities Commission (NUC) has granted Full Accreditation status to eleven (11) of its academic programmes. This follows a rigorous and comprehensive accreditation exercise conducted in November and December 2025.*
This landmark achievement confirms that the University’s curriculum, staff strength, and facilities meet the highest national standards for higher education.
THE ACCREDITATION CRITERIA
*According to the official NUC report, the programmes were evaluated under the Core Curriculum and Minimum Academic Standards (CCMAS). The assessment focused on several critical areas, including:*
- Curriculum Content: Alignment with modern industry and academic needs.
- Staff Quality: The professional and academic qualifications of faculty members.
- Infrastructure: Quality of physical facilities and library resources.
- Industry Feedback: Employers’ ratings of the university's graduates and training modules.
