The University of Benin, Benin City, has officially announced its 364th Inaugural Lecture Series, scheduled to take place on Thursday, March 26, 2026. About the Lecturer
The lecture will be delivered by Ehimwenma Sheena Omoregie, a distinguished Professor of Ethnobiochemistry and Toxicology. Professor Omoregie holds a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) in Biochemistry (1992), a Master of Science (M.Sc.) in Biochemistry (1995), and a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Biochemistry (2003), all obtained from the University of Benin. Over the years, she has also earned several international certifications, fellowships, and recognitions, reflecting her dedication to academic excellence and global research engagement.
Her work has significantly contributed to the understanding of how natural substances can be harnessed for health benefits, as well as the safe use of biological compounds in medicine and industry.
