The Faculty of Education, University of Uyo, has formally released the operational guidelines and critical deadlines for the Teachers Registration Council of Nigeria (TRCN) Pre-Qualifying Professional Qualifying Examination (PQE) for the 2025 Batch C cohort.

In a circular dated April 2, 2026, the Faculty management emphasized the importance of strict adherence to the stipulated registration and examination windows to ensure all prospective educators are professionally certified.

REVISED REGISTRATION AND EXAMINATION TIMELINE

Candidates are directed to take immediate note of the following non-negotiable dates:

  • Final Registration Deadline: Friday, 17th April, 2026
  • Official Examination Date: Thursday, 23rd April, 2026
  • Commencement Time: 8:00 AM Prompt

EXAMINATION LOGISTICS AND VENUE

To facilitate a seamless Computer-Based Test (CBT) experience, the following venue has been designated:

  • Venue: UNIUYO ICT/CBT Centre
  • Location Details: Opposite the Faculty of Law, Annex Campus, University of Uyo.

MANDATORY REQUIREMENTS FOR CANDIDATES

On the day of the examination, all registered candidates must comply with the following protocols:

  1. Proof of Registration: Candidates MUST present the official registration slip issued to them upon the successful completion of their application.
  2. Identification: Examination numbers will be generated and assigned to candidates physically at the CBT centre on the morning of the exam.
  3. Punctuality: Due to the nature of CBT scheduling, late arrival may result in automatic disqualification from the session.

CRITICAL ADMINISTRATIVE POLICIES

The Faculty of Education maintains a strict policy regarding the administration of this professional exam:

  • No Supplementary Sessions: There will be strictly no supplementary examination for candidates who miss the scheduled date of April 23rd.
  • Refund Policy: All fees paid toward the TRCN 2025 Batch C registration are non-refundable under any circumstances.
  • Final Call for Registration: Candidates who have initiated but not completed their registration, or those yet to begin, are urged to do so before the system closes on April 17th.
