The Vice-Chancellor, Professor Olusola Babatunde Kehinde, on behalf of the Governing Council, Senate, and the entire University Community, cordially invites the academia, students, and the general public to the 113th Inaugural Lecture of the institution.

This landmark academic event showcases the research contributions of our most distinguished scholars to the global scientific community.

I. THE INAUGURAL LECTURER

The lecture will be delivered by Professor Sam Olufemi Hanacho Sam-Wobo, a preeminent expert in Public Health Parasitology & Epidemiology.

Professor Sam-Wobo holds a distinguished academic record including HND (RUST), BSc, MSc, and PhD (Abeokuta). He currently serves within the Department of Pure and Applied Zoology, College of Biosciences, at the Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta.

II. LECTURE THEME

Topic: “As the Heart thinks, so you are: the story of Parasites”

In this presentation, Professor Sam-Wobo will provide a comprehensive overview of the intricate relationship between human health and parasitic organisms. Drawing from years of epidemiological research, the lecture will explore the impact of parasites on public health and the evolving strategies required for their management and control.
