2025/2026 MATRICULATION CEREMONY – OSUN STATE POLYTECHNIC, IREE
The Management of Osun State Polytechnic, Iree (OSPOLY), is pleased to announce the formal Matriculation Ceremony for the 2025/2026 Academic Session. This ceremony marks the official induction of all newly admitted students into the academic community of the institution.
According to an internal memorandum dated Tuesday, April 7, 2026, and issued by the Office of the Deputy Registrar (Academic Affairs), the event is a mandatory academic exercise for all fresh students across various programmes.
I. EVENT SCHEDULE AND LOGISTICS
To ensure a dignified and successful ceremony, all matriculating students, faculty, and invited guests are expected to adhere to the following schedule:
- Date: Friday, April 17, 2026
- Venue: Poly-Celebration Ground (Main Campus)
- Time: 10:00 AM Prompt
- Target Audience: All fresh HND I, ND I, and NCE I students.
II. MANDATORY REGISTRATION DEADLINE
The institution emphasizes that only fully registered students will be recognized for the matriculation exercise.
- Registration Deadline: Thursday, April 16, 2026
- Status: All departmental clearances, fee payments, and online course registrations must be finalized by this date.
- Penalty: Failure to complete registration within this window will attract appropriate sanctions, which may include the forfeiture of admission or inability to participate in the formal oath-taking.
III. INSTRUCTIONS FOR MATRICULATING STUDENTS
- Academic Regalia: Students are expected to be dressed in their official OSPOLY Academic Gowns. Details regarding the collection and return of gowns will be provided by the respective Faculty Officers.
- Procession Protocol: All matriculants must be seated at the venue no later than 09:30 AM to facilitate an orderly academic procession.
- Matriculation Oath: Taking the oath is a statutory requirement. Students must ensure they sign the Matriculation Register immediately following the ceremony to validate their status as bona fide students.
IV. ADVISORY TO THE POLYTECHNIC COMMUNITY
- Staff Cooperation: All academic and non-academic staff are requested to cooperate with the Ceremonies Committee to ensure the event is a success.
- Guests and Parents: Invited guests are welcome to attend but must remain in the designated gallery areas to maintain the solemnity of the proceedings.
