Share

The management of Bayelsa Medical University (BMU), Yenagoa, wishes to officially inform the general public, parents, guardians, and especially prospective students, that the admission process for the 2025/2026 academic session has now begun.

This announcement is very important for all candidates who sat for the 2025 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) and are looking to study in a medical, health, or science-related programme at BMU. The institution has provided the official cut-off marks, eligibility requirements, and a full list of available courses.

BMU is one of the fastest-growing specialized universities in Nigeria, known for its focus on medical, health, and applied sciences. This makes it a great choice for students who are passionate about saving lives, contributing to health research, and building careers in science and technology.

Cut-Off Marks for 2025/2026 Admission

Before you can apply to BMU, you must meet the minimum UTME cut-off score for your chosen course. The table below shows the official cut-off marks for this session.

Course Cut-off Mark
Medicine & Surgery (MBBS) 275
Pharmacy (Pharm.D) 228
Nursing Science (B.NSc) 230
Medical Laboratory Science (BMLS) 211
Radiography & Radiation Science (B.Sc) 211
Optometry (O.D) 184
Physiotherapy (B.Sc) 181
Other Programmes 170

👉 What this means is that if you scored below the cut-off mark for a particular programme, you will not be considered for that course. For example, if you want to study Medicine & Surgery, you must score 275 and above in JAMB. If you score less than that, you can apply for another programme with a lower cut-off mark.
