Mendoza Law Firm, United States, has officially released applications for the 2026 "The Immigrant Journey: Hardship, Hope, and Resilience Scholarship," offering financial support to undergraduate students whose lives have been shaped by the immigration experience.

The scholarship aims to recognize the strength, determination, and resilience of students who have personally experienced immigration or have witnessed the challenges faced by close family members or loved ones. Through this initiative, the law firm seeks to encourage students to share their unique stories while supporting them in achieving their educational goals.

As part of the programme, five outstanding students will each receive a scholarship worth $10,000 to assist with the cost of their undergraduate education in the United States.

SCHOLARSHIP BENEFITS

Successful applicants will receive:

  • One of five (5) scholarships valued at $10,000 each
  • Financial assistance to support undergraduate studies

WHO CAN APPLY?

The scholarship is open to undergraduate students studying in the United States who have either:

  • Personally experienced the immigration process, or
  • Witnessed the immigration journey of a close family member or someone significant in their lives.

Applicants must also meet any additional eligibility requirements outlined by the scholarship provider.

ESSAY REQUIREMENT

Applicants are required to submit an original essay between 500 and 1,000 words discussing the theme:

"The Immigrant Journey: Hardship, Hope, and Resilience."

The essay should thoughtfully explore:

  • The emotional, personal, and practical impact of immigration.
  • The challenges encountered throughout the immigration process.
  • The resilience, determination, and hope demonstrated while overcoming those challenges.
  • How the immigration experience has shaped personal growth, education, future aspirations, or community involvement.

Essays should be authentic, reflective, and demonstrate strong writing skills while highlighting the importance of perseverance in the face of adversity.
