This administrative adjustment is necessitated by the upcoming JAMB Examination scheduled for Thursday, April 16, 2026, which directly clashes with the initial university assessment window.
To ensure a seamless academic environment and allow students to participate in national examinations without conflict, the University Senate has authorized a new timeline for all internal evaluations.

Students, Faculty, and the entire University Community are hereby directed to take note of the new dates:
- Original Start Date: Thursday, 9th April 2026 (Postponed)
- New Commencement Date: Monday, 20th April 2026
- Conclusion Date: Friday, 24th April 2026
- Timetable: A detailed, adjusted timetable for all departments will be released by the Chairman, CBE, in due course.
II. MANDATORY DIRECTIVES FOR STUDENTS
Management urges all students to utilize this extension window strategically to regularize their academic standing:
- School Fees Payment: This window serves as a final opportunity to settle all outstanding tuition and auxiliary fees. Only students with cleared financial records will be eligible for the tests.
- Course Registration: Ensure your online course registration is fully completed and submitted. Names of unregistered students will not appear on the official assessment mark sheets.
- Preparation: Use this additional time for intensive study to ensure high performance in the upcoming evaluations.
III. ADMINISTRATIVE COORDINATION
- Heads of Department: All HoDs are requested to ensure that lecture materials are concluded and that students within their respective departments are fully briefed on the new schedule.
- Staff Cooperation: Faculty and administrative staff are encouraged to provide the necessary support to ensure a hitch-free assessment week starting April 20th.
