The management of the University of Cross River State has announced that the matriculation ceremony for the 2025/2026 academic session will take place on Monday, March 16, and Tuesday, March 17, 2026. The ongoing examinations will continue as scheduled during this period.
In a statement addressed to staff, students, and parents/guardians, the university congratulated newly admitted students on reaching this important milestone and formally welcomed them into the institution. The management expressed hope that the matriculating students’ tenure at UNICROSS would be marked by diligence, excellence, and outstanding academic achievements.
The university emphasised that ongoing examinations will neither be postponed nor interrupted during the matriculation ceremony. All exams are to proceed strictly according to the existing timetable.
To ensure a peaceful and conducive examination environment, the university has directed that no music, loud celebrations, or any activities capable of generating noise occur within or around campuses during exams. Matriculating students and their parents or guardians are therefore strongly advised to hold all celebrations and receptions outside university premises.
The management appealed for the understanding, cooperation, and compliance of all concerned, noting that these measures are necessary to safeguard the integrity and smooth conduct of examinations. It also expressed regret for any inconvenience caused by this arrangement.
