USMANU DANFODIYO UNIVERSITY SOKOTO ANNOUNCES HOSTEL VERIFICATION EXERCISE FOR STUDENTS RESIDING IN CAMPUS HOSTELS

The management of Usmanu Danfodiyo University Sokoto has directed all students residing in campus hostels to prepare for an upcoming hostel verification exercise aimed at identifying legitimate occupants and removing unauthorized residents from university accommodation.

PURPOSE OF THE EXERCISE

According to an official circular signed by the Dean of Student Affairs, the university has constituted a Hostel Verification Taskforce Committee to:

• Verify students currently occupying campus hostels
• Identify and remove illegal or unauthorized occupants
• Ensure proper allocation and management of hostel facilities
• Strengthen security and accountability within student residences

REQUIRED DOCUMENTS FOR VERIFICATION

All affected students are expected to present the following documents during the exercise:

• Hostel application form
• Remita payment receipt
• Official hostel clearance/approval documents

Students who are yet to properly document or regularize their hostel status are advised to contact the Office of the Deputy Dean of Student Affairs for appropriate guidance and processing.

IMPORTANT WARNING

The management warned that:

• Any student found occupying hostel accommodation without official approval and valid payment will face disciplinary action
• Unauthorized occupants will be ejected from the hostels
• The exercise will be strictly enforced to restore order in student housing

MANAGEMENT STAND

The university emphasized that the exercise is part of ongoing efforts to ensure fairness, security, and proper management of limited hostel facilities for students.

All students are therefore advised to comply fully with the directive and ensure they are properly documented before the verification exercise begins.
