AE-FUNAI WARNS THE PUBLIC AGAINST ADMISSION SCAMMERS

The Management of Alex Ekwueme Federal University, Ndufu-Alike (AE-FUNAI), has issued a strong warning to prospective students, parents, and members of the public to beware of fraudsters and unauthorized groups claiming to offer admission assistance into the institution.

According to the University, its attention has been drawn to misleading publications and advertisements being circulated on various media platforms by individuals and groups soliciting candidates for admission-related services.

The Management described such activities as deceptive, fraudulent, and intended to mislead unsuspecting admission seekers.

AE-FUNAI emphasized that admission into all its academic programmes is strictly guided by established procedures and regulations approved by relevant regulatory bodies. The University noted that admissions are offered solely on merit and in accordance with approved admission criteria.

The institution further stated that it has not authorized any individual, group, agent, or organization to secure admission on behalf of candidates and warned prospective students against patronizing admission touts.

Management reiterated that candidates who engage the services of fraudsters do so at their own risk and will be solely responsible for any consequences arising from such actions.

The University has also drawn the attention of relevant law enforcement agencies to the activities of these suspected scammers and urged the public to remain vigilant.

Meanwhile, AE-FUNAI confirmed that its 2026 Post-UTME registration exercise is currently ongoing and that interested candidates should follow only the official admission procedures published by the University.

Prospective applicants are advised to obtain accurate information regarding admission requirements, eligibility, registration procedures, and deadlines exclusively through the University's official admission portal.

The University announced that the registration for the 2026 Post-UTME screening exercise will close on 30th June, 2026.

Management urged all applicants to rely only on official communication channels and avoid individuals promising admission in exchange for money or other favors.
